Re-Awakening
2004
History of the installation:
The original Awakening used piles of broken glass and the same clean
blue steel forms resembling faces
and overturned boat hulls. The color and texture of the original
large steel form matched the the smaller forms. This first installatin
was exhibited at
RIT in 2002 prior to the artist's suspension from that
school. A series of audio tracks accompanied
the original installation, including narrated versions of several
of the artists poems. The second installation pictured above was part
the artist's Solo Exhibition after making his return to RIT, and marked
his completion of that degree program.
